Unique THAI STREET FOOD in Bangkok
Off on another Thai Street food adventure. This time in Ban Tad Thong and I make one other stop as Em and I visit the Museum of contemporary art. We kick off our street food adventure off in Ban Tad Thong at Jay Sri Chao Tam for something called water mimosa salads. What a great way to kick off our street food adventure than with a Thai vegetable dish I have never had. Full of prawns, minced pork, squid and octopus.
maps.app.goo.gl/Aw9nxnneWkf6YXzf7
Next we stop by Tung Chae Tao Tan for epic bowls of their signature dishes, pork with fried noodles in gravy and the same with a milk gravy. Might not sound like much but I loved this as much as I did when I found pad kra pau for the first time. And to boot, these fried noodles are fried in pork lard giving them a fatty and rich flavour.
maps.app.goo.gl/uXC7ebyYe9HH4xNr6
Next we head to a newer sweet shop in Bangkok called Tuay Tung. And my God are they doing it right.
Fresh baked bread with salted egg custard and steamed buns with peanut candy crumble and cream. Literally to die for.
maps.app.goo.gl/XSMFqZCefFpyjRy77
We finish the day off at a place I still have no idea how to translate to English. It's Thai name is โอยั๊วะเกษตร, but I'm sure that is no help. This hidden gem near the Museum of Contemporary Art in the Lat Yao area of Bangkok was amazing at every turn. No English menus and nobody speaks English but the nicest people you will ever meet. I should be probably mention the frosty beers and food are to die for.

I am sorry for your experience in Marrakech. It is a highly visited and touristic destination and often people there are greedy (not all of them). I am moroccan and have been victim of those greedy ppl. If you are visiting a major city in Morocco I would recommend a guide or a friend or a friend of friend... someone you trust (nothing bad will happen but you will be uncomfortable and have a bad experience). If you are visiting small cities and rural areas, trust people 100% ! They might invite you for dinner and prepare a feast even if they don't have the means. All in all, moroccans are kind and friendly and will help you and care for you, unfortunately there are some unfaithful bad persons out there like there are all over the world.

Thai food and food in Thailand are so delicious. The ingredients are good quality also the cooking style is the art of mixing of taste. There are tons of food here you can choose and enjoy them everyday. Most of them are not expensive and their cost are reasonable. Thailand is not the best, rich. Most people living here are happy and comfortable. We welcome good people from everywhere no matter who they are. People have many choices and feel free to stay here. People can have suitable selection for themselves with kindness and good skill. Please enjoy good things good places here in THAILAND.

Cristóbal Colón No mató a nadie.

Food in central Vietnam is usually spicier than in the north or south.

Yes, I noticed this during my time there. But I didn't experience the "salty" aspect the north is supposedly known for. To me the north had a much more balanced flavour profile

That sauce might be น้ำจิ้มแจ่ว "Nam Jim Jaew", another common sauce in Thailand. It's basically made of fish sauce, palm sugar, chili pepper and lime juice or tamarin paste for the sourness (up to the chef, if it's thick then that's tamarin.) In some restaurant, they might add tomato, coriander or grounded roasted rice, etc.

With the chicken? It turns out it is a tamarind sauce but the name if it escapes me. It is very sweet compared to Nam Jim Jaew which I am very familiar with and love. I had a local tell me the name of it but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called

@@PureDetour Then, it might be น้ำจิ้มมะขาม Nam Jim Ma-karm. The ingredients are almost the same as Nam Jim Jaew but it goes heavy on the tamarind and sugar. Some restaurant might add "pickle garlic juice" in it and they also heat it up to make it thicker. I might be wrong thought. Have a nice trip. I love watching your vids so much. Even if I am Thai, many places you shows are hidden gems that I didn't even know them before and I will mark them for my next trip for sure.
